How to make screen captures with Video Lan Player (Download)
So first setting your preferences. In the top menu, go in Settings - Preferences (or Ctrl + S)
In the Video Tab, you’ll have a field for the directory for your screen captures with the format.
To know your hotkeys to make screen captures, go in the Interface tab then Hotkeys settings
To see the hotkeys for the screen captures, you have to check the Advanced options check box.
By default, the hotkey is “Ctrl + Shift + S”, but you can change it.
While playing the movie you can also click on the top menu, Video - Screen Capture
But with the hotkeys is better, you won’t miss anything. ^_^;
The files will be saved in the directory you specified in your Preferences.
If it doesn’t work, make sure you have the lastest version of the software. Older version don’t have those options.
How to make screen captures with Media Player
I’ll update this later since my Media Player is buggy, but I think you have to do “ctrl + i” to make a screen capture. Since you can’t (I think) specify a directory for your screen capture, you have to save each screen capture you are doing with it. I think it can be very annoying and you miss lot of your movie. ^_^; I’ll take a lot later when my problem with it is fixed.
